ABSTRACT

In a globalized world, economic changes in one country results larger impacts on other countries across the globe. The U.S.-China trade war counted as a major economic event have affected the nations involved along with disrupting the markets, global trade, global supply chains for other nation states.

Purpose: This paper investigates the history, reasons of the US-China trade war, analyse their present status, and its positive and negative impacts for India. The paper focuses on the primary objective as to understand how such economic issue among two largest economies affects emerging markets like India.

Methodology/approach: For this paper, we are adopting a qualitative methodology, where we majorly analyse the situation based on secondary data retrieved from academic literature, books, research articles along with retrieving data from primary sources such as newspaper articles, official government websites as this topic involves the current happenings newspapers and government portals served as the primary source.

Findings: This paper in its conclusion provides certain recommendations that could help India deal with the negative impacts in a better way along with strengthening its economy to gain from the opportunities presented. These findings can serve as examples for various other nations how to survive such economic conflicts.
