ABSTRACT

This paper presents a briefl investigation of the role of energy security crucial in crafting policies and strategies in the Gulf States. Previous analyses involving the region main focus were on internal conflicts and foreign interventions as foreign governments vied for control of oil cum gas supply chains of Gulf state. However, energy security is emerging as a rallying point in determining the focus of policies and political strategies of the Gulf States. Situated at the heart of global energy supply, Gulf nations leverage their vast hydrocarbon resources to shape domestic policies and assert regional and international influence. The study further investigates how energy security concerns influence collaboration, economic diversification efforts, and foreign policy decisions, in view of volatile global energy markets and environmental responsibility.

Ultimately, the paper gives insights into the manner Gulf nations provide equilibrium of security vis-a-vis climate mitigation interests, on the other. The research reveals that energy security engenders innovations which counter difficulties in order to ensure sustainability, competitiveness, and collaboration which position the Gulf region as the global centre of renewable energy supply.
