ABSTRACT

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 spread has badly impacted the everyday routine of the children. During its surging stage with e-learning practice, an initiative was taken by the Indian government to keep them engaged during this pandemic. This shows that ICT has played a remarkable role in the education sector. Although there have been certain children due to the absence of technical support, who couldn’t join online classes. With the “PM CARES for Children Scheme,” an attempt has been made to support those who have lost their both parents. In this scheme, rehabilitation and education assistance for these children have been the prime focus of the government. This article would demarcate the significant Indian government initiatives which have been taken for children's protection during and after this pandemic. With e-platforms, educators and learners are guided to maintain discipline to have a smooth process. To overcome mental health issues and financial instability the children are provided governmental support through the “PM CARES for Children Scheme” for their protection to attain sustainability. This reflects that only proper implementation of government schemes can improve their survival conditions through resilience and capacity building initiatives.
