ABSTRACT
This chapter explains the values, beliefs of the employees, and actions of employees in the organization when it comes to the protection of the environment or biodiversity. It tells about how algorithms, computers, and smart tools like computational intelligence (CI) affect the harmony of employees and also help the organization toward better decision-making, sharing ideas, and finding the right solutions that are beneficial for both the environment and the organization. Every organization has its own financial goals that are not eco-friendly or do not go with protecting conservation. This creates cognitive dissonance in the minds of employees because they care about environmental protection, but their jobs and organizational goals involve things that may harm the environment. This “cognitive dissonance” creates conflict in the minds of employees and makes them uncomfortable. This chapter explores using smart tools-computational intelligence & computers, to bridge the gap between what organizations do and what is beneficial for the environment, ultimately protecting the environment for the future and making everyone happier. This chapter deeply dives into this feeling of dissonance within the organization. This chapter delves into the opinions and feelings of the employees who might struggle to protect environmental programs because their values do not always align with the organization’s goals. Understanding the employee’s thinking and feelings are important for making biodiversity conservation programs so that everyone can participate. Companies often struggle to balance organizational goals with environmental obligations. This leads to feelings of conflict among the employees. So, the chapter proposes a new tactic using Computational Intelligence (CI). CI approach may act as a bridge between environmental progress and organizational goals. In the chapter, learn about ethical concerns such as fairness, transparency, embracing diverse perspectives, and empowering employees who use computational intelligence in organizations, particularly when it comes to biodiversity (environment protection). Smart technology can be adopted by organizations to create a “green workplace culture” with the proper engagement of employees. An employee in the organization takes responsibility for biodiversity, leading to a smaller impact on the planet and employee happiness. This chapter explores a future where innovative solutions for sustainability play a crucial role in any organization’s success. This chapter shows the road map to help organizations smooth out that path. This chapter explores how computational intelligence can bridge the gap between financial goals and protecting the environment. It shares the understanding of how organizations are achieving their financial goals along with protecting the environment. Think of it as building a team spirit around biodiversity, where employees feel like their actions have value in the organizations without any dissonance.
