ABSTRACT
In recent years, the influence of non-intellectual factors such as learning motivation and interest on students’ learning has aroused widespread concern in the field of education. In the course of teaching, some educators have found that different students have a certain impact on the effect of English vocabulary learning, among which learning motivation factors have an important impact on English vocabulary learning, because learning motivation is an important variable affecting the students’ learning behavior and also an important factor restricting their learning enthusiasm. With the frequent exchange of Chinese and Western cultures and the in-depth development of foreign language teaching research, vocabulary teaching is increasingly given high priority. If the teachers do not have a thorough understanding of learning motivation, it will be difficult to organize teaching effectively and motivate the students to learn English vocabulary effectively. Therefore, the theme of this paper is the influence of learning motivation on English vocabulary learning. This paper first introduces the concept and classification of learning motivation and then analyzes the role of learning motivation and how teachers can stimulate students’ learning motivation. At the end of this paper, some methods are proposed to help the students learn vocabulary more effectively.
