We make no judgment based on the fame or number of those who hold an opinion, but on the basis of the internal substantiation of a point of view (De animalibus 281). Where instruction in faith and custom are concerned, there comes Augustine, where medicine, there Galen and Hippocrates, where the natural sciences, there Aristotle as the greatest authority (II Sententiarum 247).
