ABSTRACT
This paper proposes a flexible continuous wind speed model based on first order Markov chain and Stochastic Differential Equations (SDE). This model permits to generate wind speed sequence with high frequency with statistical properties similar to an observed wind speed in a given geographical site. This model can be merged with the deterioration health indicators of wind turbine to make prognosis and plan maintenance actions.
