ABSTRACT
As Mad Men’s Don Draper once said, “If you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation.” This is what Afrodescendant people have wanted since the abolition of slavery. But how does one “change the conversation” when the racial contract continues to perpetuate the dominance of some groups over others, 2 notably by invoking academic freedom to shield remnants of the past?
