ABSTRACT
The structure of the multisector AK model introduced by Salvadori (1998), here reprinted as previous chapter, has been further investigated by Freni et al. (2001, 2003); see also Gozzi and Freni (2001). The starting point of these papers was a criticism of the formulation used in the previous chapter in stating the optimal control problem (8.7) of the representative agent within ‘the solution using the usual procedure’. This analysis led to the slightly different formulation of the model developed by Freni et al. (2001), and to the various generalisations that are studied by Gozzi and Freni (2001) and by Freni et al. (2003). In this post-script we first try to clarify the difference between the original article and the most recent works. Then we provide the ‘long-period solution’ for the Classification Theorem by Freni et al. (2001).
