ABSTRACT
This chapter is the product of an investigation on the one hand into some strands of IR theory, 2 and on the other into the process of international cooperation on global warming that led up to the signing of the framework convention in June 1992. It engages in the (possibly overambitious) task of simultaneously trying to say something both about the politics of global warming and about international relations theory.
