ABSTRACT

Some dilemmas that appear when standardizing risk governance are highlighted. Standardizing can constitute important tools for improve the handling of risks, but it can never replace the need for knowledge, flexibility, and cooperation as the basic elements in risk governance. All examples used to illustrate the points made here are selected from the previous chapters.
