ABSTRACT
This chapter takes readers back to 1995, to an interview conducted by the writer Susan Stinson with two fat activists, Judith Stein and Meridith Lawrence. Stein and Lawrence were also lovers, and much of the interview focuses on their creation of a richly fat-positive and joyful home and community. The piece begins with Judith Stein setting the stage for us to understand the interview that follows.
