ABSTRACT

This edited volume brings together researchers from the Nordic countries to share their insights and empirical research findings on children’s communication, learning, and education in the digital age. The first part discusses key underpinnings and historical developments that reflect Nordic perspectives on children’s communication, learning, and education in the digital age. The second and third parts of the volume discuss empirical research studies in the field. Together, the chapters shed light on cultural values, educational policies, and conceptions of children and childhoods, and child-media relationships inherent in Nordic societies. The chapters are complemented by commentaries from an international perspective.
