Introduction

The painting on the front cover of this book represents the voice of a Parsi Zoroastrian artist, Hormazd Narielwalla. The visual imagery through which Hormazd expresses his connection to the religion of his birth is integral to our rationale for this book, which is to balance observer (‘outsider’) perspectives with multiple voices from the Zoroastrian world.
