ABSTRACT
Ervad Yazad Bhadha is the resident priest at the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe (ZTFE), based in London, where he was appointed in 2014. He belongs to a long line of practising priests who serve the Iranshah, the most sacred fire in India, located in Udvada. Yazad studied at the Athornan Institute in Mumbai from the age of eight, where he completed his priestly training. In this chapter he talks about his family background and education, as well as his understanding of and approach to the Zoroastrian texts and rituals.
