ABSTRACT

Sooni Taraporevala, the celebrated screenwriter, director, and photographer, was born in Mumbai and studied film and photography in the United States before returning to India. In this interview, Sooni addresses questions relating to her book Parsis: The Zoroastrians of India, A Photographic Journey (republished in 2004), to her screenplay adaptation of Rohinton Mistry’s novel Such a Long Journey (1998), and to her work on Little Zizou (2008), which she wrote, directed, and co-produced.
