ABSTRACT
Hormazd Narielwalla is an award-winning artist best known for his innovative approach to painting that began with the mapping of delicate geometric designs taken by him from antique tailoring patterns. An example of this technique is the painting chosen for the cover of The Zoroastrian World. In this chapter, he talks about how his work reflects both his identity as a Parsi Zoroastrian and his journey as an artist. It draws on his life experiences and themes that range from politics to migration and expressions of his relationship with Parsi religious and cultural ideas. He describes his career trajectory and the methodology and approach to painting that he has developed.
