ABSTRACT

This chapter offers some reflections from an emerging researcher on how Gerald Grace’s work is relevant for the future agenda of research for the Philippines. The chapter opens by sketching the context of Catholic education in the Philippines. In Part 1, the attention is on promoting the common good in Catholic education and the role of Catholic leaders in bringing this about. Part 2 of the chapter considers the leadership challenges faced by Catholic schools in the Philippines. The conclusion surveys the hopeful signs of Catholic education in the Philippines.
