ABSTRACT
Combatting climate change is a cornerstone in sustainable development. Sustainability education therefore intrinsically links to climate change education. This chapter suggests that sustainability education benefits society best when it is rooted in state-of-the-art scientific knowledge on climate change. This chapter therefore focuses on succinctly introducing some essential concepts and state-of-the-art knowledge on climate change.
