ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the PRME Brazil Chapter, its history over seven years of consolidation and its future actions towards the UN Decade of Actions. The primary purpose of the PRME Chapter Brazil is to strengthen the capacities to act in the new paradigm of sustainability by developing and implementing solutions that meet the economic development of organizations and consequently the country, also respecting the environmental limits and ensuring the full development of the society. The objectives of the PRME Chapter Brazil are focused on promoting a platform for dialogue, education, research and actions related to responsible management, to increase the visibility of the PRME and its signatories in Brazil and to promote synergy between its management bodies. As part of its 2020-2021 biennium strategy, the PRME Chapter Brazil defined three strategic actions: network growth, monitoring employing indicators, and improving communication. As its primary directive, all efforts are committed to increasing its external visibility in addition to its network of signatories. All three initiatives are still in progress. However, the strategic actions reported unequivocally demonstrated the potential that PRME Chapter Brazil has to transform the reality of higher education in business administration and related areas in Brazil.
