ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the views of the members and alumni of the student organization oikos International on what is needed to make the Decade of Action a success. These views were collected through a survey of the oikos community on what would need to happen both (1) in the world and (2) in management education, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The responses were analyzed by the authors using a systems map and a clustering exercise. Finally, some of the activities of oikos International which aim to achieve the SDGs are briefly introduced, including youth leadership initiatives and ongoing student-led research aimed at better understanding management education and how to make it better aligned with the principles of sustainable development.
