ABSTRACT

Business schools play a prodigious role in shaping their students’ knowledge, skills, mindsets and attitudes. They have an incredibly difficult task and a noble mission of developing the leaders of tomorrow, the leaders that one day will be the most important change-makers of their own organizations and of society. Since the beginning, IEDC-Bled School of Management has been a forerunner in the field of responsible management education. It has strongly promoted and supported development of corporate social responsibility and ethics. Therefore, being present when the idea of PRME was born at the Global Forum at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland in 2006 and being heavily engaged in PRME since its beginning, it felt not only natural, but an important tool to support and promote responsible management education worldwide. It became evident in the last years that PRME needed to reinvent itself and to become once again more a movement than an organization.
