ABSTRACT

Chapter starts with the essential causes, which make possible and necessary the company stakeholders-based management, which are named the foundations of the new system. According to author’s analysis, there are four foundations: economic, social, ecological, and psychological.

In the author’s opinion, companies’ main economic challenges are generated by the transition from the classical value chain to new types of value chains, mainly the virtual value chain. In analyzing four aspects – value chain creation and appropriation in the company with multiple stakeholders, value chain and virtual value chain, knowledge value chain, interdependencies between company value chains, and business environment-relevant stakeholders – there discussed are the main economic implications for company management and its main stakeholders.

For corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the responsibility of company-relevant stakeholders, author focuses on social and ecological foundations based on critical analysis of the relevant literature in the field of CSR and propose a new concept of “company-relevant responsibility”, pointing out its advantages for the company-relevant stakeholders-based management system and for society in general. Also, starting from Carroll’s pyramid of CSR and Baden’s amended pyramid of CSR, has been elaborated a pentagon of company responsibilities, which represents a good foundation for a more comprehensive and pragmatic approach of modern companies.

Then, as psychological foundation, there are discussed the development and implications of humanistic management in companies, emotions, and emotional intelligence in the organization, considering new developments and requirements in these fields and why and how the company-relevant stakeholders-based management system is able to integrate them to a high level in the organization and in the relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Finally, is presented the new company-relevant stakeholder business model framework, which contains eight modules. The relevant stakeholders business model provides the framework for successful construction and implementation of the new management system.
