ABSTRACT

The article is devoted to the analysis of the national populist narratives of the Polish political movement Kukiz’15 taking into account its attitude to the European issues. The movement that was created in 2015, as a consequence of the election success of the rock singer Paweł Kukiz in the presidential election, has been an event on the Polish political scene unprecedented since 1989. The ‘anti-establishment’ ideas proposed by the leader of the group were situated in opposition to the entire political class and fit into the conservative worldview category, albeit liberal economically. The group’s vision of Europe is based on the project of the Europe of Homelands, understood as a Community consisting of equal members, while respecting the sovereignty of states and the development of intergovernmental cooperation. It assumes simultaneous criticism of European federalism.
