ABSTRACT
This book chapter reports the experience of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, in organizing two intensive workshops for international students of architecture and urban planning programs. The findings of the study reveal that the international workshops enhanced the students’ cognitive learning and their competencies to compare the field experiences to their value systems in their home countries. The study concludes with recommendations and policies for the faculty of architecture and urban planning in order to diversify the pedagogy with the focus on internationalization of education.
