ABSTRACT

Participatory research was done as the follow-up of the project LoGaSET – Location-based games as a contemporary, original, and innovative method of teaching and learning in which people at age 60+ have participated. The focus of the project was to train older adults’ digital competence to use smartphones in daily life. After the training course, the member check research aiming to validate the text of older adult’s experience about training course and acquired digital competence was done. Member check hasn’t brought any big contradictions between presented data and members’ reflection but gave an additional data for further communication and future – possibly – participatory research. The specificity of this research is that it was done in a country where there is no culture of participatory research generally and especially with older adults, so the researchers had to learn from their own mistakes and enjoy their own achievements.
