ABSTRACT

Co-authored by Improving Social Inclusion for People with Dementia and Carers through Sharing Dance project researchers, the aim of this chapter is to summarize the key contributions of the book and highlight future directions for collaborative arts-based ageing research more broadly. The chapter reviews the theoretical, methodological, and applied lessons from the research project on Sharing Dance Older Adults. A critical element of the chapter is its discussion of opportunities for knowledge translation and the sustainable application of lessons learned from the research. The chapter is of interest to researchers involved in moving arts-based approaches to research, ageing, and health forward.
