ABSTRACT

Co-authored by Improving Social Inclusion for People with Dementia and Carers through Sharing Dance community partners and leaders in innovative long-term residential care practice, the coda places Sharing Dance Older Adults in the broader context of health and social care. The authors share the story of their involvement in Sharing Dance Older Adults during COVID-19 and write about the importance of arts-based programs and research during the pandemic and moving forward. In doing so, the coda speaks to the art-of-the-possible and the need for systemic change to enrich the lives of older adults, including those living with dementia.
