Introduction

In the Introduction, the editor of the volume outlines the aim of the research, its methodology, and main research hypothesis. The editor explains the criteria for the selection of countries and courts for the study, defines the key terms and concepts, and indicates the main similarities and differences between the legal orders under which the compared courts operate. The methodology of the research on case-based reasoning in constitutional adjudication that is applied in this work is presented in detail. Moreover, the editor of the volume explains the scope of the quantitative and qualitative research on judicial decisions that have been conducted within the project.
