ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the main aspects of the judicial dialogue between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia and other courts in Latvia, as well as European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union. This chapter consists of three substantial sections. The first section explains the position of the Constitutional Court within the judicial system of the state; it also covers several methods of cooperation between Constitutional Court and other courts in the state. The second section provides an analysis of the role and the method of use of self-references in the Constitutional Court judgments, method, and reason of the use of rulings of other Latvian court judgments. The last chapter explains the use of references by the Constitutional Court to the judicial decisions of foreign constitutional courts, as well as international courts.
