ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to explore and map research on business models in sports organizations and sport-related service industries. The research process is focused on the following study questions: (1) What is productivity in the field and what are the key contributors to research output? (2) What are the core references in research on business models in sports organizations and sport-related service industries? (3) What does the conceptual structure of the research field look like? (4) What are the research fronts in the field? The study employs a combination of bibliometric methods (research profiling, citation analysis, co-word analysis, bibliographic coupling) and systematic literature review.
