ABSTRACT
What are the economics of climate change and how we might transition in an innovative and cost-effective manner to renewable energy technologies and a sustainable future? On 8th October 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) brought down its report on where we stand with reaching the 1.5 degree target, 1 which now looks like it’s going to be hit and overshot, whether we like it or not; and the short time frames that we still have remaining to even get to our 2.0 degree target.
