ABSTRACT
This concluding chapter brings together the threads running through the chapters and provides insights into how current systems constrain women. Uniting the contributions in this volume are the different perspectives on the radical changes necessary within our social systems, at the individual, institutional, and societal levels. This conclusion provides an overview of these changes, that are designed to end the current patriarchal paradigm, and to open up the possibility for us to imagine a new paradigm or paradigms, an imagining of a better world. As each contributor has argued, women are a key part of the creation of solutions to removing barriers to global peace and this chapter identifies steps needed to ensure women’s full participation in constructing a different world in which they have full equality of education and opportunity, an equal voice in decision-making, and the creation of a new just, sustainable social order.
