ABSTRACT

The 2018 exhibition Arrivants: Art and Migration in the Anglophone Caribbean World, which took place at the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, explored the theme of migration and the diasporic nature of Caribbean society as documented and interrogated through the work of 25 artists. The author, who co-curated the exhibition with Veerle Poupeye, reflects on the aims and aspirations of the project through the works presented.
