ABSTRACT

In the conclusion, we examine the emergence of AI in governance as the technological embodiment of many of the trends of digital modernity. The chapter argues that AI's emergent logic, rooted in historical data and driven by corporate and state interests, redefines governance and biopolitics, perpetuating inequalities and complicating traditional notions of public and private sectors, minority identities, and democratic engagement. The chapter concludes by raising five critical questions about how AI is reshaping governance, and the future of politics in an era dominated by opaque, algorithmic decision-making.
