ABSTRACT

The chapter is dedicated to the study of correlation between the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic all over the world and fluctuation of the global international relations. Due to that, the research question, for which the authors will look for the answer during their study, is: How will the COVID-19 pandemic influence international relations? Because of the wide range of research areas, the authors decided to limit their work to four detailed problem questions which should make this area more specific: How will the COVID-19 pandemic influence the specific subarea of the international relations as international cooperation? How will the global pandemic situation influence transatlantic relations as a subarea of global international relations? How will the COVID-19 pandemic influence the PRC’s strategic project of the New Silk Road in Eurasia and Africa? How will the pandemic situation influence the stability and social-economic development of Latin America and Africa? To sum up, the main aim of the chapter is dedicated to providing a description of the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic within the above-mentioned four subareas as well as presenting a short-term forecast of future changes.
