ABSTRACT
In this chapter, stories about and perspectives on physical education are provided through the lens of Matthew McGeary. Matthew McGeary, 20 years old when this chapter was written, described participation in physical education and school-based adapted sport programming throughout childhood and adolescence. The author discussed enjoyment and success in these experiences, which were available year round in the local community. Matthew’s mother also joined the discussion to provide additional context for this chapter. Readers will have opportunities to learn from the experiences of the author and will be able to reflect on these experiences as they relate to the readers’ future teaching careers.
