ABSTRACT
In this chapter, stories about and perspectives on physical education are provided through the lens of Grace Gourley. Grace Gourley, 16 years old when this chapter was written, described various physical education experiences pre- and post-transplant of a new heart and liver. The author highlighted stories about interacting with peer tutors in physical education and discussed what it was like to receive home-based physical education after surgery. Grace concluded the chapter by describing what should be changed about physical education. Readers will have opportunities to learn from the experiences of the author and will be able to reflect on these experiences as they relate to the readers’ future teaching careers.
