Building a legal framework for the production and use of hydrogen in transport and logistics

Drawing on the research and analysis carried out by IDIT as part of various studies,¹ this chapter presents the recent evolution of European and French strategies for the deployment of hydrogen, as well as an analysis of the regulatory framework applicable to the production, transport, and distribution of hydrogen, with regard to its new uses in heavy mobility (heavy goods vehicles, ships, inland waterway vessels) and logistics.
