ABSTRACT
The court system in Uganda was established under the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda in 1995, as amended (Parliament of Uganda, 1995). Chapter 8 provides for the judiciary, with Article 129 outlining the structure of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, and the High Court of Uganda. These courts are arranged in a hierarchy according to their respective powers.
