ABSTRACT
This chapter serves as an introduction to this book, The Future of Labour: How AI, Technological Disruption and Practice Will Change the Way We Work. This chapter discusses the rapid evolution of technology and how digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) in particular have become central forces in shaping the future of work. This transformation poses critical questions about the promises and perils of a new labour landscape, leading to questions such as what the future of labour will look like and how one may navigate this transition to ensure it is done in a manner that is innovative, successful and sustainable.
