ABSTRACT

We use this chapter as a space to reflect on and share what we have been learning through our participation in a teacher collaborative endeavor named the Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education Professional Learning Group. We write both as a group and from our individual science teacher voices, hoping to convey some of our experiences and learning. We also include suggestions for science teaching that include aspects of the social, political, and scientific realms to illustrate possibilities for creating science curriculum and instruction in culturally responsive and sustaining ways.
