ABSTRACT
This final chapter proposes a series of actions to take in order to make good on our commitment to one another and the planet if we are to flourish by design. It acknowledges that design passion and diverse philosophies are important if we are to tackle the complex challenges that face us with a sense of purpose and meaning. We must stop trying to define what design is or what design does and, instead, focus on the impact of design research as evidence of its value. Embracing multiple agency and specific contributions requires us to act appropriately with the particularities of context. Whatever a designer is, we want to flourish on a flourishing planet. Now, we must extract our values from that goal. Don’t stay the same. Challenge, question, provoke. Do good by pushing the boundaries of knowledge for yourself, your community, and the rest of the world.
