ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at an integrated approach to territorial entrepreneurship in a small mountainous rural area of central France (Bibracte – Morvan des Sommets, Burgundy). It shows how the landscape approach and attachment to heritage are used to involve local communities and elected representatives in defining the project area and action plan. It examines how tourism can be a valuable component of a territorial entrepreneurship scheme that encourages cooperation between the various socio-economic players and promotes the sustainable development of the region while respecting its human, heritage and ecological components.
