ABSTRACT
Within the final chapter, we recall the journey through the book, reflecting on the diverse ways how our invitation to link ages was interpreted and operationalized in various ways and intensity across different disciplines and areas of interest. We conclude with gains by a Linking Ages-inspired critical age studies perspective and show possible fields of interest for the future, not without pointing out the limits of such a perspective and the enclosed danger to overlook other categories of difference by focusing predominantly on age. Finally, we hope that Linking Ages will inspire people outside academia as well to reflect on the concepts discussed in this volume and transfer this critical perspective towards age and all linked -isms in their fields of action.
