ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes the current state of socioculturally responsive assessment (SCRA) as reflected in the 18 preceding chapters of this volume. Each chapter’s key points are reiterated to build a more coherent understanding of SCRA conceptually and its measurement implications, practice and policy possibilities derived from operational examples, and research directions. We conclude with a discussion of what the understandings collected in this book imply for the future of SCRA.
