ABSTRACT

Despite the latter part of the research period being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, the research team quickly rose to the challenge and seized the opportunity to innovate. While physical contacts were restricted, various digital tools were harnessed to develop new processes for community engagement. This chapter begins with case studies of the digital landscape of community initiatives that surfaced during the pandemic, which led to the development of a one-stop online community platform that enables local stakeholders and resident champions, leveraging on offline-to-online/online-to-offline (O2O) engagement strategies.
