ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the discursive relations conveyed by the construction y mira que. Following a pragmatic methodology, its aim is to investigate the concessive relation established in utterances with the construction, exposing its characteristics and discursive functions that it manifests in the macrostructure. At the same time, other relational possibilities coexisting with the concession in different positions are analysed. The results show that the relations of concession, background, comment or adversation can appear simultaneously in the discourse, depending on the contextual combinatorics. There is an evident interdependence between the syntactic distributions, the relational contents and the procedural instructions of this construction.
