ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on philosophical perspectives on social values in climate science. It first examines some of the crucial locations where social values play a role in climate science, and second, it analyzes different positions on managing that value influence. Overall, the chapter highlights value influences and responses that have become the touchstones for conversations in philosophy of science.
