ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 lays out the direction and the characteristics of the ‘The Great Transition’ that is needed to get us back within safe and just planetary boundaries. It includes a detailed definition of what Nature Positive means, what the goal involves and how it could be measured; describes the role business and finance can play in the transition to a nature-positive economy; and explores how society can overcome the powerful obstacles to embrace a nature-positive transition and unlock the positive socio-economic tipping points that will lead to nature-positive outcomes.
